Offerings
An offering is a service line or business unit (for example, Engineering, Data Intelligence, or Project Services). Offerings group three things together to drive consistent rate cards and reporting across the tenant:
- Designations: Each rate card is linked to one or more offerings.
- Projects: Each project is tagged with one or more offerings.
- Users: A user can be tagged with the offerings they work in.
Why offerings matter
The most important functional consequence is in the project organogram. When adding resources to a project's organogram, only designations whose offerings overlap with the project's offerings are selectable. This prevents irrelevant rate cards from appearing on a project.
For example, an Engineering project will only show Engineering-linked designations when adding a resource, even if other rate cards exist in the tenant.
Managing offerings
Offerings are tenant-level and managed by administrators.
